Recognized as a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), Contractor of the Year (CotY) award-winner.

As part of a multi-room renovation in Terrace Park, our clients requested that their existing finished basement undergo an upgrade. The lower level of this home was previously used as office space for a home-based business. The floor plan was unreasoned without a hallway or obvious way to move through the area. Traversing the basement required going through room after room. The office space layout was redesigned to accommodate two guest bedrooms and solve the hallway problem. Additionally, two small conference rooms were merged forming a large family craft room.

Reducing Costs By Being Green

The bar area in the family room was given additional storage by reusing base cabinets taken from the upstairs kitchen. The dark cabinets were painted in the Sherwin Williams color Acier to compliment the Cambria Quartz countertop in color Torquay. Wine racks were added below the peninsula. Not only did salvaging the cabinetry reduce the over expense of the project but it was an environmentally friendly choice. The finished basement flooring by Stainmaster is a luxury vinyl plank in Espresso. The warm dark color enhances the look of the space by bringing a contrasting hue to with the bright tones of the cabinetry and wall color.

A Usable Finished Basement

The lower level if this home now has a proper floor plan, guest rooms for visiting family, and a large room that it is perfect for entertaining. What was once a drab uninviting space is now filled with natural light and a joy to spend time in with friends and family.
