Joshua and Stephanie are a recently married couple who moved into a late 1990s ranch home in Harmony Grove, Wisconsin. Most of the home had been recently renovated, including the kitchen, dining room, and living room. However, the one room in the house that still needed an update was the master bathroom. The homeowners contacted us to discuss a bathroom renovation and asked us to redesign, modernize, and update the space.

The First Step In The Renovation Process

The existing master bathroom was a typical 90s design that featured a built-in jacuzzi tub to the left of the entrance, a single vanity directly ahead, and a small shower on the right rear wall. Lots of open space, an exhaust fan light, and a single vanity light made the space dark and dreary.

Our first step was to rip everything out and start with a nearly empty space. To maximize the budget, our design kept the toilet in the same place and the vanity on the same wall. We added a custom handmade Amish Cabinetry double sink vanity stained with Dark Knight. To brighten the room, we installed two vanity fixtures to provide plenty of light. Our lighting design also incorporated two recessed fixtures in the shower and a fan/light combination exhaust fixture.

Redesigning and Expanding the Shower

A new shower was a key feature of the bathroom renovation for Joshua and Stephanie. They asked us to create a more substantial shower space by incorporating the currently unoccupied floor space. We turned the shower 90 degrees to fill the entire right side of the bathroom. After redesigning and expanding the shower, we focused on choosing the perfect materials to meet their aesthetic needs. We chose the Onyx shower system to maximize their budget and keep maintenance to a minimum. It features a custom low-step shower pan and dual-color wall panels. The homeowners also wanted two shower systems one on each end of the shower, and glass shower doors

Our bathroom renovation and redesign is a complete spatial transformation that efficiently uses the space available, taking it from dark and dreary to bright, stylish, and impressive! Perfect for Joshua and Stephanie to use for years to come.

(They were) willing to put in a bidet toilet we had bought on our own... and having the option for other specific work around the house was convenient.
